Hi Folks,
Has anybody found a place where a car underbody pressure wash can be
undertaken after the event? (we have a hose pipe ban in Hertfordshire so I
will need to find somebody or perhaps a DIY place where it can be done)
I see people have talked about 3rd row seats. I have some parts left over
from an overland conversion of a 2003 LC3:
Unused 3rd row seats, seatbelts, headrests, original Toyota Tow-bar and a
new Max Ellery's vehicle repair manual covering 1996-2004, 90, 120, 125,
Hilux, 4-Runner & Surf (but it does not cover my KDJ120 D-4D engine)
Jorgen45 (KDJ120 UK)

Jorgen,
Even with the hosepipe ban I think you can fill a container with
water, using a hose, and then run your pressure washer from the
container.
Regards, Clive.

I just checked up on thid. Current legislation only allows
restrictions on watering gardens and washing private cars, not filling
containers.
Regards, Clive.

Hi Jorgen,
I guess the main issue is which way you are going, but I suspect that most
the counties you are going through on the way home will also have hose pipe
bans.
You can either be proud of having a TLC that actually goes off road or try
and find a local ford to drive through. I'm lucky to have a 100yard ford
about 2 miles away to wash off the underside of my LC, but don't bother with
the top half - I get less aggro that way.
Thanks. I'm just looking into the possibilities of putting the 3rd row into
an imported 80 - were any LC3s actually sold without the 3rd row seats?
You could try ebay.

Hi Mark,
Most UK 4x4 suppliers get their ARB kit through the same distributor so the
best bet is just to ring around and get the best price.
Try Frogs Island and Devon 4x4 as a starting point.

Hi Mark,
How's life in Frome? I used to live in Corsely for a while opposite
the Royal Oak.

Hi Mark
I was only asking because we keep a weekend retreat near Mark (between
Burnham on Sea and Wells).
Maybe we could meet up sometime. In fact I think I'm umpiring a cricket
match or two in Frome this year.
