Skiing in the Highlands

Always fancied taking the family up that way to learn how to ski ..
Do you think it could be done in one day ?
And i don't mean the learning
I mean travel ski then home (well try and ski )
BTW home is in the northwest uk

Nice vid Andy - I've only ski'd up there once & that was a vay long time ago... The weather was atrocious & the snow wasn't... Just ice & rocks - a bit different to your day out

A round trip like that would make for a helluva long day Bob...

Nice vid, although I do spot a dodgy ski technique or two!!! Is there much in the way of runs up there?

Glenshee has 21 lifts, so is the most extensive of the 5 resorts in Scotland.

I wouldnt make a day trip from Preston, it would be 5-6hrs each way!
better to make a weekend of it, but they are hard to plan with fickle scottish mountain weather,
a chap often travels up from Moffat for day trips, but thats way further north than you,

i find a 90minute drive far enough, leaving home at 06.45...

that wasnt me that wiped out, it was a mate! although i am also in red jacket and telemarking and featured more.
