Hi all,

I just need some snorkel piping guidance.

Referring to the image above, I take it that everyone just disposes of the cut off piece (Part C)?

Is it possible to fit flexi-pipe from the bottom of the snorkel directly to the airbox, taking out the need for the whole piece above?

For those who have kept the piece above, what did everyone use to make sure the connection at Point A is airtight?

Any other areas that need special attention to make sure they are airtight?

I have never fitted a snorkel so i'm not much help to you and your pic tells me nothing at all . But rather than leave you to feel ignored i will offer that i have a retro fitted intercooler on my KZJ90 which is fitted with silicone pipe held in place and sealed with these

I am boosting about 13psi without leaks which would according to a not very thorough google search be equal to your air box being totally submerged 11 inches under water for a prolonged period .

So without really understanding your question i would bolt the snorkel on and connect it to the air box with a silicone pipe .

I'm sure somebody will be along to point out the errors in my thinking soon enough but as long as it leads to the answer you need its all good .

Thanks for giving it a shot Shayne. Can anyone who has fitted a snorkel to a 1KZTE 90 give me some advice?

Thanks for those tutorials guys!

A had a good look at them but they still don't answer my initial question. Do you actually need to keep the whole airbox?

If you do - how to you make the connection at point A airtight?

Please respond if you have a 1KZTE and have done this install.
