That's a posh way of hooking another ring spanner through the open end of a combi spanner

True enough ! Less risk of spanner or nut damage (both mine and mechanical) though. Ageing muscles need all the help they can get (my excuse anyway).

Advantage i see is 2 spanners are often too long .
