John , before connecting the spot to the reverse switch you had better check
your countries lighting regulations, if they are like ours which I suspect
that they are then that will be illegal on at least two counts,
1, only 2 reversing lights and no more are legal.
2. A maximum of 24V for any rear facing lamp including reverse,
Any work lamps have to have an interior illuminated switch and the lamps I
believe can only be used off road or when stopped and angled so as not to
dazzle other road users.

Subject: [ELCO] [TECH] [reverse lights]
Hi Guys
I have bought a set of 55w spots for the cruiser, to improve the visability
when reversing. I picked them up for only 26 euro and now would like to fit
them. I was thinking about chasing the wiring to the reverse light and
connecting to it. Is there any problem with connecting two 55w spots to the
reverse wiring harness. I just thought I would check before I blow up
something.
Thanks
