I think for me, the beauty is in the craftsmanship and the engineering just as much as the look of the car. The Camero interior was beautifully made. All the boot panels look right.
Leno's car is a modern creation. A customised brute, but the engineering is superb.
For older cars I like to see both what's original and what can be done to customise them, for then they too become unique.
The original Bentleys just epitomise style and engineering excellence over out and out racing ability, yet still they ran and won races. A bit like Volvo entering their 850T5 as an estate car into the BTCC…and winning!!!
Beauty is, most definitely, in the eye of the beholder and every car on this thread is beautiful in my eyes. As much for daring to be different as anything else. I love the thought that the 20s Bentleys were made on machines that were pre computers by men with skill and slide rules with their bare hands. And raced by guys that raced whatever the safety aspects.
Would I own the Camaro if I had the opportunity and the money…you bet!! In fact I would with any. But if I had to save really hard for one and choose just one, it would be an original Bentley from the 20s.
