Dear Jeff
Really?! That=92s the problem being na=EFve and having faith in almost everyone=85
Is it really that bad?
Would you suggest I told them the state of l=92beast and be done with it?
Its just that my hope was that something would come out of it =96 i.e.
sponsorship from Toyo, so I take it this won=92t happen? That=92s a shame, it
might have proved a watershed for me and my small DesertFoxOverland tours!
Thanks for your input, I value your comments.
Cheers
Renate

your call of course!!! but they were very nervous of product placement and even cropped back the pic so yu couldnt see the BFG tyres....of course if you were to have your LOGO somewhere where it couldnt be cropped (perhaps on your T shirt!!!) you could overcome it...

i mentioned to my local toyota dealer about sponsorship for me next trip, ready of course to refuse the offer of a free service cos i wouldnt trust them to change a windscreen wiper! but they refused and referred me Head Office..and seemed very put out that my 80 series was muddying up their forecourt

Dear Jeff
Just as I thought =96 there always seems to be an ulterior motive! I guess
they=92re just wanting to sell more copies of their magazine.
I once wrote to Toyota H/O about sponsorship =96 I did get a letter back from
them, but it was something they weren=92t planning on doing, at this stage,
and I thought =93Why not?=94 take an old cruiser out on the sands and you might
sell more newer models of the brand.
I watched Fifth Gear last night =96 only because they were test-driving the
new landcruiser =96 I wish the programme had more to do with the landcruiser,
but I guess they had a lot to think about having to fill an entire hours
worth.
Cheers
Renate

The one with the crippled beast - I didn=92t know batteries took SO long to
remove from l=92beast and recharge! I=92ve never done it before, can you imagine
that=85

www.desertfoxoverland.co.uk its not all about landruising (its not about
landcruising at all=85), but it is updated reasonably regularly, so DON=92T look
at it just yet! I was going to put loads of photos there too, but I think
they=92d be far too many =96 I mean, who really wants to see loads of shots of
North Africa! although I might consider it at the next major update.
