maybe if more people had campaigned to stop the NERC act getting through parliament in this country, then wed still have thousands of miles of lanes to drive!

got to love the Ozzy spirit though campaigning to keep the tracks open.

i do hope their successful.

Tazzy is one place i really want to take my truck to.

One thing I love about the Aussies - they will only debate a topic up to a certain point when one party will say "That is just not Australian!" and there is no come back to this, so the argument ends right there. I've even heard parliamentary debates ended this way.

That's the attitude I love about the Australians, they call a spade a bloody shovel, if there's one country I would love to live in apart from the good ol' UK, it's Australia.

theyve had a huge turn out at the rally theyve organised.

fingers crossed they manage to stop the proposed track closures, like they managed to stop the proposed ban on bull bars.

the way their so organised and determined to fight this ban on 4x4 vehicles driving some of the tracks in Tassie, reminds me of the rambler association in this country, and how hell bent they are on banning 4x4's from our few remaining green lanes!

Best of luck to them. It does seem a bit silly how minority groups seem to get their way more and more. Hopefully they see the sense and not like here...
