Turbo on a 1HZ

Hello, has anyone added a turbo to a 1HZ motor, was it a big job, where did you buy the kit and what brand, i am thinking of doing mine. Cheers, Scotty

I have.
It involves drilling and tapping in the engine block. Needs a drill with a 90° adapter because not a lot of free space, even less with a rhd truck.
You'll have to remove the exhaust manifold and separate it. I needed the disc grinder for this.
Difficulty level is comparable with doing a wheel hub overhaul.
Mine was a bit turbo kit from Landcruiser Adventure – Cars, Parts & Travel Equipment - [Leaving Land Cruiser Club] in holland.

Drives like a different truck after the conversion even with a moderate 0,5bar boost.
