Tyre Sealant

My understanding is that whilst these sealants are effective (and they are) it does make a subsequent repair difficult as the hole is already sealed and therefore difficult to locate. The sealant will also adhere to a tube, should you subsequently fit one.
In the event of a puncture I suggest your priorities are:
1. Tubeless repair
2. Fit tube
3. as a last resort, use the sealant
But that's just my opinion

Subject: [ELCO] Tyre Sealant
Hi Y'all
I have never bought or used a tyre sealant and hope someone may be able to recommend a cost effective brand that works well on small (thorn like) punctures.
My assumption is that this type of instant repair would be OK to use and would not hinder a subsequent more thorough long lasting repair. In addition to a comprehensive tubeless repair, I will also be taking a spare inner tube as a belt and braces measure.
Am I in danger of going OTT?
Will the residue left by the sealant make the subsequent repair more difficult/impossible?

rememer we had this discussion when you came top see me and i pointed out the problem of the sealant hiding side wall damage..ive discussed it with tyre reps and they agree with me ..ive done one trip with it in and one trip without..no punctures in either trip so as an expertiment it was inconclusive..make sure yu balance yur wheels before putting sealant in though

Hello their Jeff, I did use this exact type of presseurised sealant
one time some year ago. Well I can tell you it worked, but the tire
store guy looked at me with some anger eyes and said that sticky stuff
made him laxative.

If the stick foam is to be avoided, are the tire plugs solution thought to
be
a)of use
b)legal for UK road use? I know they are popular in the US particularly for
cars that don't carry spares, and BMW seem to use them for motorcycles in
the US and Europe. (on a bike they use CO2 canister - like on a paintball
gun to inflate the tire!)
If anyone uses they where can the kits be obtained, I found a supplier in
Sweden but nothing closer. http://www.safetyseal.se/
