Wanted Free pdf to Word converter

Hi All,

What do you use for converting your pdf to word?

I used to use ABBVV, on another computer, but ABBVV isn't free.

If some one has the program on their computer, I can email the pdf document, there is nothing important in it.
Then you can email it back in word format for me

have you tried the online services like www.pdftoword.com ?

Not a true conversion though

Unless there is intricate tables could you not copy and paste it as that is what I do most of the time.

Problem with many PDFs these days is that they don't contain text, only a picture of the text page. PDF to text converters can only extract from text-pdf files. If you scan a page into pdf, or into e-mail, you get a pdf with an embedded picture of the scanned page.

If you have a picture with text, you can use an OCR program instead. A bit more cumbersome, but ok if there's a lot of text and the quality is good.

This worked a treat.

It just took it's time, I got the document emailed back in about 10 minutes.
All perfect.
There were 179 pages, roughly half a page was English, and the other half of the page was Chinese.
Many pictures also.
It was nearly 4 meg in size.
