What is this thing?

Can any of you knowledgable lot can tell me what the hell this is, located near my offside headlight? And why it may be dripping oil?

It's the A/C filter/drier and sightglass. The oil is refrigerant oil as you have a leak and it's coming out with the gas.

Thanks. I had the air con re-gassed last week. Would these drips be from that? Or is it most likely a leak?

Why did you have it regassed? I assume it was because it was empty, in which case you have a leak, and it's from that joint (and possibly somewhere else). It needs taking apart, the metal cleaned of corrosion, and a new O ring installed.
