What would you guys recommend Oil wise for my old R reg 3.0 td 160k ????
Also how much will it need ?

TBH I'd be inclined to go 15/40 on an older engine. I'm running 5/30 in my 100 series and the oil pressure is quite low, although it doesn't seem to have had any adverse effects.

Hello Gary - I have the same engine as you at about the same mileage. I am using the Toyota oil that Roughtrax sell - 5w30 semi synthetic. But choice of engine oil will always cause a debate - semi vs full synthetic, which viscosity etc. The most important thing is to change it regularly along with filter. The best oil is new oil.

I've got a R reg Colorado. I've only ever used Castrol Magnatec 10W-40 A3/B4 every 6k miles and wouldn't use anything else !
