Hi all,

Am I right in saying the 120 series wheel bolt thread is 12mm x 1,25mm ?

Also, has any one measured the stud length on the 120, ie, to see if the front studs are the same protruding length as the rear studs?

Do these look decent enough?
They can be had in 30mm or 35mm

Those are the RoughTrax ones? I'm running those in 30mm with absolutely no problems. The diameter of the front hub plate is bigger so they look a bit weird but they work fine.

Stud size is as you have it I think.

I wouldn't go with 38mm - tyres will stick out past the fender flares a long way. In 30mm they protrude a bit but it's only just noticeable so hasn't got Mr Plod all hot 'n bothered ...

Cheers

So if those are the same as the RoughTrax one's that's a nice price.... They'll fit 80's and Hiluxes too IIRC.

Thanks Gary,

May need a reinforced suitcase next time back.

I can't bring too much back, as I am bringing 4 x UVM manual locking front hubs back for him, for another one of his 4x4 's

I think now that the thread on the wheel studs could be 1,5mm pitch, and not 1,25mm as I originally posted.

One things for sure, it would be a fine mess if some one tried to put the wrong nuts on the wrong bolts.
I wouldn't fancy trying to clean the treads up after that malarkey.

Just for the sake of expanding my little brain a bit... can I ask why?

Spacers I mean... is there a benefit other than aesthetics? Or is this a "bigger" tyre requirement?

Squarer wheelbase. So increased stability, apparently. But I put them on to ease the rub on the UCAs I had from the Coopers.

And, of course, that wider stance does look pretty cool :lol;

And they straddle sleeping policeman humps better

My brothers 120 is lifted by 50 mm

So it looks a little higher, than squarer,

He wants to put on the 30mm spacers to bring the proportions back a bit.

He feels as it is now, with the 50mm lift, it is looking "tall and skinny".

Hi all,

The answer to my original question,,

Are the studs 12mm x 1,25mm or 12mm x 1,5mm

The answer is 12mm x 1,5mm

Thanks Gra,

Pleasure Gra,

Any time Gra.
