Mines only got 136k miles on it. on the otherhand my abused 97 golf had 225k when i sold it and it was in a terminal state so i would expect 500k out of mine

Not really mate, yours is probably much less than half the age of that 80, with only a little under half of it's mileage!

well my 80 was only at 87k when I got her in July.....
The fella owning her before me worked on the oil rigs so he was never home to drive the truck....

as a result the engine was a bit smoky and sluggish...

She is now at just under 98k and the last 11k have been harsh ones for her..... haha big trailers, long distances, high mountains and deep rivers...

and she runs better than ever....

wont be long before I take her over 100k me thinks...
