Window fell off !!

6am, on the way to work, opened the drivers window and it fell off its mounting inside the door. Then it started to rain
A bit of fiddling in a layby and i pulled it out and held it in place by raising the window mechanism.
Found out now that the glass has come out of the rubber as the metal clamp has corroded and the rubber is also perished.
Making a new clamp assembly should be fairly easy, but I found a spare window with a good rubber and clamp still attached. So it wll be a simple job to bolt it in when it arrives.
Hopefully I will soon enjoy trouble free cruising!

I had to make a new card for the tailgate Clive as the old original one was destroyed.
But it was good enough for a template. I used 4mm MDF and drilled large and small holes for each fixing then a jigsaw to cut the channel between the holes.
Just got to figure out what to cover it with. 3mm aluminium chequer plate is favourite at the moment

New window and clamp arrived, just 10 mins to fit. All is well again
