Windscreen replacement, Images please

Hi All,

Having my windscreen replaced (hopefully today as Auto windscreens have been useless so far) due to a crack.

It looks like my current screen is a replacement,so i dont know what it should look like. The main plastic side trims were secured with 4 small screws and not rivets as per the drawing, and the tops section was secured with an adhesive

so my questions are as follows
1) has anyone got a image of what it should look like
2) how important is the internal trim 75543c (is it just for wind noise)?
3) How should the top section of the outer trim be held as the parts diagram doesn't show a clip

The internal trim covers the rivet heads and somewhat helps with wind. The outer (and stupid expensive) trim 75533 is much more important.

Resurrecting this thread - I’ve managed to pick up a sizeable chip (bigger than a 10p coin) yesterday coming back from the highlands in the snow… I suspect it may need replaced as, whilst not in line of sight, is right on the passenger side edge so I suspect it’ll crack and travel. Who are the best folk to do this - Toyota themselves? I’ve a rain sensor etc. that they will need to ensure works afterwards and I am loathe to just let any ‘auto glass specialists’ near it given the complexity of that structure…

If it didn't start to travel yet (the crack), you could try to seal the chip, e.g. like this:

Thanks uHu, insurance fixing it, no charge, no impact on policy...Good insurance company!

Yep, had the same thing for free, they make a good job of it too, virtually invisible unless you know where it is and stare at it. The repair does deteriorate over the years though to look like a clearly defined blemish in the screen.
A cheaper alternative for insurance company, and cheaper for owner if no seperate glass cover listed on policy.
If there is a delay in repair, cover the area, clear tape etc, to stop s**t getting in chip.
Autoglass used to have their own stickers for that, that were free from the office at their many depots.
