Where I come from, freezing temperatures in winter are the nom (just
as seering hot summers). Wiper blades usually don't last more than a
few weeks on wiindshields covered with grained ice, while scrapping is
the best way to get the windscreen free of ice quickly. I personally
prefer a Webasto space heater turned on 10-15 min before I drive. Not
only it will defrosts all windows, but also warm up the whole
interior.

Yes Roman I know the feeling, you might remember that for 3 years I worked
next door in Belarus where its a tad colder - even more so when I was in
central Russia. The best washer fluid was neat vodka as made by folks in
the kitchen from white sugar. Only problem was drunks sucking the washer
nozzles when parked - true! Out here the 47% local brew (rakia) is
distilled straight from plums or pears and it tends to be too sticky for
the job. But Tania did find that it removed Duck tape adhesive quite well
from steel.
Anyway, the problem is not frosty screens - easily scraped and cleared by
a squirt of de-icer but the accumulation of ice on wipers when driving in
snow for long periods which degenerates the wiper blades rapidly. That's
what started it all. I would like a Webasto too but they are only good for
use from home. I spend 1 or 2 nights a week at a hotel and they are not so
good for power when parking outside. I would buy one if I was in UK at
Christmas though.
