Yes, you've 31" on LB Tony, whereas Steve has 33" This what I have been suggesting for LB. they are 255.80.16 and yours are 275.75.16.

Be interesting to hear how Firey (did I really say that?) goes on the motorway. Once up to speed, it should cruise nicely. A few more mpg.

Steve, how did you manage the spare wheel on the door? I can't believe that it doesn't hit the rear light cluster when you open it fully.

There's about 5 deg difference in the position of the back wheels !

Chris, surely you mean 255/85/16 and 265/75/16? No tyres available in either of the tyre sizes you quoted

Yes, 85 series. I stand corrected. It wasn't a technical post fortunately. They are 33" though.

We put one against Clean and Green yesterday for comparison. Blimey, what a difference. Should have taken a pic. Nick if you drop round again sometime, we'll take one and stick it up on here for people to oggle.

I thought it might be helpful to have the correct tyre sizes in case anyone else refers to the thread. You like me change your post one time make correct numbers and tidy this up?

I think that the KM2 are probably slightly taller than my STs in truth. The tread is a bit deeper on them. Also fitting them to the 90 series 7" rim will mean that they are squeezed in a bit more giving you another slight increase over the 80 rim. It's they way to go I reckon. Tony, get yer wallet out, let's hit the mud.

Here's something prety sad I did for myself the other evening

265/70/16 30.61/10.43/16 standard fitment

265/75/16 31.65/10.43/16 increase in diameter over std fitment 26.42mm extra ground clearence over std fitment +13.21mm (+13.21mm)

305/70/16 32.81/12.00/16 increase in diameter over std fitment 55.88mm extra ground clearence over std fitment +27.94mm (+14.73mm)

285/75/16 32.83/11.22/16 increase in diameter over std fitment 56.39mm extra ground clearence over std fitment +28.19mm (+00.25mm)

255/85/16 33.07/10.04/16 increase in diameter over std fitment 62.48mm extra ground clearence over std fitment +31.24mm (+03.05mm)

This of course make no allowance for how these tyre sizes are effected by rim width & inflation pressure

I have no idea yet as I've not even started her up since the tyres were fitted so not had a chance to tear up a dual carriageway as yet I'll let you know as soon as I do

The spare is just balanced in the photos as it comes no ware near to fitting the existing carrier It will need to go up @least an inch possibly over to the left an inch & then out a tad to clear the wiper arm No idea how I'm going to achieve all of this as yet but hoping to get it done when I'm having the slidders altered so I can fit the front mudflaps back on If you have any ideas they will be greatfully received

I did call her Fiery on account that she's red like a fire engine & it followed the theam of my last two trucks names Shaky & Snowy

When I fitted larger tryes to my 88" Landy I fitted a speedo from a 109" - which had larger diameter tyres as standard. It turned out to be almost spot-on judging by those 'your speed' signs one finds in villages these days.

Nowadays I suppose we all drive by 'Sat Nav' and use the speed function.

Yes I have & it is now spot on

Good point I must chase that up as I've not heard back from my brokers To be fair I informed them of my planed mods before I took out the insurance on the standard vehicle & so my broker has insured me through Highway who I was insured through with my previouse modified 4x4 but through a different broker So I hope that no is the answer to your question but I've not heard back yet

ive done just over 1k miles on mine and i have to say its not as good as i expected she feels very wallowy in the corners not tried it of road yet though,

I can report that i called my insurance to inform them about the lift and was told its not a perfomance enhancement so no increase in premium.

Really I have to say that I've only done about 60/70 miles since it was fitted but I'm happy so far Can't say that I feel she's wallowy in the corners (and I've removed my rear ARB too) I'll pay more attension when cornering & let you know

I only removed them as the rock sliders that I bought from off of Chris had been made for Lil-Blue with no mud flaps They are back on now though

Steven, I'm sure it's mentioned somewhere before, but to be totally honest I can't be ar5ed at the moment to find it ! what is the expected mileage difference between your KM2s and BFG A/Ts ? I know I've said I'll probably go for the A/Ts based on them being an all round tire, however I do like the look and size of the Km2s on your motor ! Do you have any pics from the front and rear of yours at a decent distance ?
