Part-exchanged our 11yr old subaru forester today - non-turbo one, still keeping our newer 2.5XT turbo Forester
The old Subaru has been great, taken us up to Trondheim and the Fjords of Norway in 2007. It has been good for towing trailer, light offroad and excellent in Snow.
But i have been having to replace quite a few parts on it recently, and road salt is getting to it.
So the Colorado now has a little Toyota sister - a 2008 1.4 D-4D Yaris.
its done 29k miles and to tax and insure it cost £200,
compared to £650 for the old subaru
and the Yaris does 50-70mpg, the forester 27-35mpg
main use of the Yaris will be commuting and local running, saving miles & wear on the Landcruiser for its proper role of trips and greenlaning
