3.0TD starter motor

Well it seems we made a cock up yesterday, starter motor failed on my colorado. Ordered a new starter motor not knowing there was 3 types

2.2kw
2.7kw
and 3kw

Well if anyone is looking to fit the 3kw, its an absolute swine to get in lol, however, my truck has never started so easy lol

It had to go in from the top, removing the oil filter and moving some pipework out the way. And with a bit of swearing and a bit of huffin and puffin and it went in. Its a monster!

So if anyone is thinking on fitting one, go in from the top, itll save u an hour only to figure out it wont go in from the bottom

Glad you got it on, i have heard about how awkward these are. Fingers crossed ive never had to do mine.

I've had better experience fitting mine, maybe took 10-15 minutes. Just needs to go in at the correct angle and it falls into place nicely.
