So, with all this talk of fridges i have been doing some digging.
After my brief spell with caravans i did a search on ebay and have come up with some stuff like this:

There seems to be loads of new and second hand and would need a decent mounting made or even a ventilated box, but thinking it could be mounted suitably, maybe even on its back, but that would need testing. Finding quite a few in decent nick for about £100. Also thinking that the vent would have to go external as don't want to heat the car when it runs
