4wd light stays on

hi guys well i fitted the mud tyres an went for a bit of a play and had no probs until i went to take the old girl out of 4wd , hubs were out pressed the high range button on the dash to of an no go . reversed a couple of times and went forward still no go checked the vacuam lines looked ok so i guess a mechanic job . any thoughts
 
well, no one with more knowledge than my meagre store has replied so I'll chuck in my twopennyworth. usually this is due to transmission windup. Alternatively, the selector has jammed and it's stuck in 4wd. You need to establish if it is really in 4wd or if it's just that the light has stayed on. In the meantime, freeing off your freewheeling hubs will hopefully stop the transmission going bang! Or remove the front prop:thumbup:
