5vz-fe Charging Voltage

On a cold start, at idle, that would be 14.4V. The RPMs are around 1500 at that point.

Later on when the engine warms up and the RPMs drop to 700ish the charging voltage drops to 13.9V.

Is that drop normal?
 
Alternators are a sort of supply and demand device. They kick out more when it's needed and back off when it's not. They don't push out one charge constantly. So on start up, they are under more load, recovering battery charge etc. Then when everything is back to normal, they put out less. I can't speak for you specific engine, but those figures look entirely normal to me. If you raise the revs once warm, do the volts go up a bit?
