Hi

I currently have a stereo in the dash, which has a plastic shelf/pocket underneath.

I want to fit my 2m vhf radio there instead of the shelf.

Im guessing I need to take out the current single din that the stereo fits into, and replace it with a double din cage, so I can fit stereo and vhf underneath.

Has anyone done this already and can suggest a cage that fits iinto the dashboard.

Ive seen universal ones, but want the depth to be correct.

Cheers

Pete

The double DIN cage should already be there, I'll see if I can dig out some photos for you. Grab the facia/surround and give it a tug off you'll soon see what I'm talking about

I'll see if I can find some more.

Pete,

I'm pretty sure you'll just need to unbolt the pocket and bolt your radio in place. The Colorado uses two side-mounting plates that bolt into the dashboard, rather than a slide in cage.

Yep...as per Steven's post above.
