Hi all,

I am in Aberdeen for a few days before I go offshore on a course. Due to finish tomorrow morning and have tomorrow afternoon and Wednesday to kill.
First time in 3 years having a bit of free time about the city.

Any recommendations of places to go/ see??
Btw I have no transport.

maritime museum is meant to be interesting and worth a visit
lots of pubs!
art gallery

all the "local" castles/distillerys would need transport e.g. car or bus to get to.

Well, the maritime museum could be a possibility as it is 433 feet away according to my iphone gps...... It would be rude not to i suppose.

Good thinking Andy...
Thanks

The Light of Bengal at the top of Union Street serves a good curry. If it's not a Starbucks now of course.

I can recommend the maritime museum too

Lights of Bengal do the best tasting Biriyani I have found so far. Just like my mates mum makes :D

Also I can very highly recommend Yorokobi Japanese resturant for a very fine meal with plenty of good Saki to choose from http://www.yorokobibycj.co.uk/

The museum was closed today for some construction...
tomorrow is plan B!!!

Hope its good now!
Cheers again.
