Whilst on the topic of lamps I wonder who knows the best bargain
source of twin spots or fogs at present please. I have been put off
anything made by Ring as they have a reputation for the glass
splitting if suddenly drenched. I don't want high wattage desert
rangers either.
Also what about 2nd hand radios. Some may remember that since the
local yobbery relieved me of my radio I have not bothered to replace
it, preferring to leave the cables dangling out of the dash as a
deterrent. This theft even though the radio's front panel was removed
and at home. But perhaps now with safer parking I can risk it again.
Pity its not possible to get the pull-out-the-dash kind of radio, and
the coded radio appears useless these days.
So I have the double sized void that I think is the original Toyota
radio void (my old radio was DIN sized with a shallow cubby
underneath), so how can I fill it? I will pay a visit to super
scrappy ASM at Aylesbury and see what they have. I was
wondering about one of those big chunky Ford sets that they were
fitting, well 5 years ago anyway. Does anyone have any experience of
those or any other recommendation that I could get from the breaker.
I would prefer one with a CD but cassette would be acceptable. TIA
Cheers
