Advice please... KZJ95 steering wheel 'clock spring'

Dave,
Glad you found this useful - appreciate the acknowledgement :)

Just to update; everything related to the clock spring swap still works perfectly - result at sensible money!

Now, anyone want to buy a KZJ95?

Long story... Nothing wrong with the Collie at all. We've owned it since 2003, it's been brilliant & has not long been MOT'd (new front calipers, discs AND steering rack!) & is possibly the closest one out there as a 'baselined' vehicle (the list of service & maintenance stuff is huge) and it's almost completely rust-free!

but

I'm looking for something much older & with double the number of cylinders which can tow well - ideally an 80's Quad-cab Dodge or Chevy 1 ton pickup...

I need to get some pics sorted & post an advert. :sob:

Thanks again. My new Chinese squib came in reasonable time, all fitted and my airbag light is off! I tested continuity on the old one and there was none so it had clearly broken inside (my horn still worked though, hmmm ).

It's pretty straightforward to replace. I had to splice in one of the plugs from my original unit as the copy had a different plug, but no big deal.
