I am swaping the seized air con pump on my 100 , but i have two things to sort before attempting the job.
Firstly what are the part numbers for the O rings that seal the low pressure and high pressure pipes to the pump, mine appear to be the originals and I would feel happier to replace them while the system is open.
Secondly how do you check the Pag oil level in the system.
Thanks in advance

There's been a recent thread from Frank I think Frankenstein compressor plus another discussing oil. Loads of info there so worth a search t1p.

Not the o ring numbers though but I'm sure someone will be along with those.

There are no part numbers for the o rings on the 80 model so probably not for the 100 either. You'll have to get them from an air con specialist. The old ones will do if they look in good condition and are tight.

If your compressor is seized it's 99% probable there is not enough or no oil in the system. Also if it is seized some parts of the system have metal fragments and will need cleaning. There is NO way to check how much oil is in the system.

I would suggest the following:-

1. Remove pump and supply pipe to condenser.
2. Remove condenser.
3. Remove supply pipe to receiver.
4. Remove receiver.
5. Cut bottom off receiver making the cut about 2 inches up from the bottom being careful not to get bits inside as you need to inspect the inside of the receiver for debris. If the receiver bottom is clean that means that the filter has not failed in the top of the receiver and you do not need to take anymore bits off the car. If the receiver is contaminated the rest of the system will need removing and cleaning. This is unlikely.
6. Clean the pipes with degreaser and make sure they are clean. Dry them by the fire.
7. If the condenser is old it's easier to just get a new one rather than try and clean it. If it is newish it is possible to clean but difficult. Again dry well getting the receiver hot to make sure all water vapour and degreaser is out.
8. The new pump may need investigation. There should be a notice with it telling you what to do. If not open the pump up and turn it upside down over a large clean container. Rotate it until all the oil comes out. About 6/7 ounces should come out leaving 1/2 stuck inside the pump. If so put it all back in. The pump should contain 8 about ounces. Use pag 46 with UV dye if you are putting your own oil in. Remember pag 46 absorbs water so don't hang about and do it in the dry.

If you have working and not isolated rear air con you'll need to find out how much oil to add.

The rest of the system left on the car will have very little oil in.

It's now just a case of assembling remembering to use plenty of rubber grease on the o rings and mating surfaces but not using it so it gets in to the system.

Plug tose parts left on the car straight away to stop water vapour getting in.
