the batteries are getting low in my key fobs for the alarm and central locking,
can the batteries be replaced and it will work normally ?
or do the key fobs need to be programmed into the car ?

cheers roy

Try putting "alarm key fob" into the search function Roy its probably been covered somewhere before , I think you can change the batteries without any problems but I wouldn`t swear to it sorry I cant help anymore my key fob wont work my central locking off the fob only when I use the key manually in the lock ?

I am pretty sure it says to change the battery within 10 minutes inside the fob,
my fob has never worked all the time i have owned mine untill i took it swimming that is
now i have an alarm and central locking from the fob must have needed a wash

heard about a chap with a LR 110 recently. the battery died on his keyfob, when he was out and about. he couldnt start engine apparently due to the immobiliser.

not much use if you were in middle of a desert! stuck due to a dud key battery!

Search for TVSS for syncing fobs etc.

Changing the battery is as simple as open fob, remove battery, replace with new one, put fob back together. That's it. It's about as basic as it gets.

Plenty of replacement ones on e-bay. Usually around a tenner.
