that is all..

Oh no it's not. There are many more reasons to praise the tailgate than that. But it's a heck of a start.

From a cooked breakfast to a nappy change just about covers everything CG!

Sorry...wrong thread!

The versatility and advantages of a tail gate were one of the reasons I wanted a 80, but I never thought of a nappy change station, sadly.

I cannot recall having a vehicle with a tailgate and it is true it adds to the versatility of the 80 but, stretching in to reach that 'something' that is resting against the back seats is a PITA.

I take a table when camping but find more often that not the tailgate becomes the prep place, in particular when camping/off roading alone.

I will eventually cut a hole in it and screw a lid on to gain the extra storage.

I agree, there's pros and cons. I often find myself dropping the tailgate and kneeling on it to get to stuff just behind the seat which is why I'm going to replace the 'cassette' box I have in the back with something more drawer like so the tailgate has to drop but I can get better use from the space for working and camping.

I too have intentions on cutting out the tailgate for storage. In fact there's a chap on here who's fashioned a rather nice lid cover for it.

CG I think you misread my response. You said 'That is it' and I meant, no it's not... there's plenty more I'm sure. I likethe carpet on mine because it seems to soak up the mess when I knock my Pot Noodle over.

Yep, got to love the nice lids that are about and I have seen those being made by CG, I nearly ordered one from a guy in the states that makes them, the shipping cost was as much as the lid system, and that was six years ago.

I do like fancy and neat mods but often the cost is a little to high for me by the time transport is factored in.

Probably worthwhile keeping an eye in CG's tops. I sent some doors to mainland Europe and cost wasn't prohibitive. Around £10 extra if I remember rightly.

in all fairness you havnt really missed out on much.

however its still proved to be a very handy feature for in the field changing of nappies..

I can't join in, I've got ambulance doors on the back. Still, you never miss what you've never had, we did our nappy changing on a change mat on the middle row .

I'd imagine it's great for camping (which we've done very little of) so we have a folding table with built-in storage for 4 folding stools instead.

Here we go! Nice set up, and we certainly share the same taste in food. Proper hot dogs and burgers!

that's awesome - you can store the baby back in the drawer when you're done-might need one of those yellow 'baby in boot' signs but don't think they are statutory..
if it was left to me I would.. missus isn't over keen on the idea..

she has a 50% share in the little man..
