Amazon or Colorado?

Have I, or my insurance co. got it wrong?

I reckon that my import 1991, HDJ81v, is an 80 series, AMAZON.

They reckon it's a COLORADO......I'm confused......and the ins co. is Adrian Flux.

The UK version is an Amazon, being a jap one its a VX or VX Limited probably, though the logbook wont always state the model on jap imports

Technically speaking your car is an 80 series VX or GX etc. The Amazon name wasn't adopted until 1997 to differentiate the model from the smaller 90 or Colorado series.

Only the late 80s (97) were called Amazons.

My 80VX is 1995 but my local Toyota parts dept have it down as an Amazon.

If only insurance companies understood HDJ81 1HDT it would be so much simpler...

Cheers lads, at least I now understand a bit better.
Mine will be a "VX limited" then....even has gold plated badge on the back that says so.
