Hi LC fans and owners :)

Anyone has an idea what it could be? Thought about bearing first, but the wheel seems to be firm in place, no "play to shake" when lifted up!

Also, sometimes it stops for some minutes, and start again.

Though i have the feeling its getting worse.

Could it still be the bearing? I am at 90'000 miles (if not manipulated).

What else could it be?

When I get an annoying sound from the back, its normally the kids.

Seriously, as above, check the brakes and also the backing plate (if its still there) - have had rusty backing plates on a couple of vehicles now causing annoying occasional grinding noises.

Check bushes in general but shockers in particular, mounts as well.
I've had the shocker sleeves (top half) rot out, and they occasionally scraped.

Thanks! I had the shocks (and all necessary parts around) replaced in december.

The sound is accelerating/ slowing rhytmically alingn with the speed. It must be something from the driveshaft, brakes, bearings...

Check out the plastic wheel centre caps for stones etc inside.
This used to be a prank back in the day with metal hub caps where the sound was drastically amplified

:D :D

Already thougt it could maybe be the backing plate because of this sound. How can i test it easy?

Maybe attach/clip something on the plate (to stop resonance) and see if the sound changes?
