any plumbers /gas fitters out there among us?????

need a bit of info on my boiler BAXI SOLO 2 about 10 yrs old ish.Never had any probs with it but over the last 2 mornings it has failed to come on in the morning as it normally does,it has been trying as you can smell the gas,I removed the cover and used the knob under neath to turn off and on and it fired up straight away and all worked as normal,really need it to be coming on before we get up as wife and kids freezing in the morning.

any ideas???

Could be all sorts of things, is the 'overheat' light by the thermostat glowing (look closely as sometimes light 'bleeds' through from the other indicators.
is the fan running

PCB's & air pressure switches are quite common faults on these, but if it fires ok once youve reset it it might need some one to take a look at it.

Agree with Andy. That sounds like a control electronics issue. If it's 10 years old.....
