Hopeing you can help me. Had my first issue with Laila.
Was at a round about going on the M1 yesterday. As I took off I heard a terrible grinding noise, from the gearbox. I had to complete the round about to get back in the service station, it went into second and all was well. Parked up engine is sound, throughout the rev range.
Put it in drive, and it starts to grind.
I had just picked up 3 relatives from Heathrow with 4 suitcases. On top of that i had all my equipment, I'd just finished 4 days at the Bushcraft show. Leaving the car was not an option.
With faith in the old girl i drove the 200 miles home. ( I know, i know )
I'm really good at takeing things apart, however putting them back together, is not my strong point. It's booked in for Friday. I'm thinking clutch or Auto box. I'm praying for good news like "it's just oil change needed"
Any advice wood be much appreciated. Is there any chance im not going to spend a fist full of cash.
