Trouble is, as in all walks of life a persons point of view depends on their
circumstances.
In cricket, a bowlers / fielders opinion of an LBW or wide (especially
leg-side) will usually be diametrically opposed to that same person's
opinion of an identical decision when batting. :)
Good game last night BTW - I didn't have to give anyone out, everything my
end was clean caught or bowled. No pressure. Cool.

even i know
(1) it pitched outside leg
(2) he was playing a shot
(3) it was missing off stump
(4) it was too high
(5) he'd overstepped
(6) he had a very doubtfull action
(7) there were more than two men behind square leg
(8) it was the eighth ball of the over
apart from that great decision!!!!!

makes life easy when that happens, or, shit im showing my age, when the the
batsman walks!!!!
I personally have never been out LBW in my life (although ive been given)
and as a wicketkeeper with a better vew than anyone, have never appealed
for a decision which wasnt taking all three wickets...(but then amazingly
some have not been give n!!!)
Ive even told umpires before the game that if they are in any doubt jst to
ask me and id help them..an offer which none ever took up
smile
