Belt size question

Hi, I ordered some new belts from Milners, two for the alternator and fan and one for the AC (I have a FZJ80).
Couple of questions, the old belts were v shaped and the new ones have teeth is that an issue?
The other is the AC belt. I can't for the life of me get it on it sends too tight. Comparing it to the old one the old one is about an inch longer giving it just enough room to go on. Do they stretch or is it just too small?

Hi Dan
The toothed belts are for a very tight radius so will be OK. They will not last as long though.

If you can get the too small a belt on it will be OK if not too tight but will probably take a long time to stretch. Anyway Toyota ones don't stretch quickly.

Thanks for the reply, I gave up in the end as it was way too tight and put the old one on. I think I'll go Toyota when I order some more.
