Best tools on a budget...?

Have been buying 2nd hand snap on off eBay for the last year or so, most of it is like new and so far all good. Just keep looking out for the bargains.

Now don't laugh too hard, I bought a Lidl socket set after talking to my uncle.
He used his in anger with a 8ft scaf bar and it held up no probs. :o
I have mine since before x-mas and I have really abused it, I have broke the ratchet but don't really care I had another ratchet

I've had some good bargains from Lidl, I recently bought an electric saw, £29.99, which I used for the first time yesterday, it cut through a scaff pole in under 5 mins, it would have taken me all day  and a lot of sweat with a hacksaw.

I use Halfrauds profesional range ......had no issues with them yet

I'm a third generation snap-on guy.
Yep grandad started it, dad kept it up and now I'm stuck with it

Don't buy the very cheap stuf, the chroom brakes off and can cut you something fierce.
I've got a second set of medium priced generic tools which I keep around the house for odd jobs.

Always carry some decent gloves around with you.
Tools have a fixed price, your hands and fingers are priceless.

My SnapOn 'Blue Point' 77pc general service kit arrived yesterday - very impressed so far with it!! Looks and feels just like SnapOn quality - obviously it's not, but it's a good compromise for what you get ...
