BJ73 Beep......Beep..............Beep

Hi All,

all of a sudden my BJ73 3.4T started beeping every ten seconds, any ideas folks?

Seems odd that i cannot think of anything important that uses an audible alarm , we have lights in the dash to warn of serious issues could it be a warning that seatbelts are not being used . Doors or sunroof are not closed properly . Parking sensors . I think i would disconnected the battery for half hour to see if it cured the problem before i started pulling things apart .

Has it got any temperature readout units with alarms fitted? EG

Engine coolant over temp alarm or no coolant alarm fitted or maybe a EGT Digital readout with and audible alarm fitted?

More info needed. Is it a japanese import? Does it beep with ignition off/on? Can you tell approximately where the noise comes from? Is it a 13BT engine?

Do you have a split charge system? my IBS beeps when the auxiliary battery gets low, but it beeps about every two seconds.

My KZJ78 has the reverse alarm which goes beep beep beep

My 76 has a beeper on the handbrake, beeps continuously if the handbrake is not fully down beyond the first click.
