Bottle Jack

Before i buy 2 of these https://www.sgs-engineering.com/tbj4-4-ton-telescopic-bottle-jack i will ask for recommendations and or if anyone knows where i might get new seals and stuff for an identical jack though painted blue and labelled draper in China .

Should just have oil resistant o rings as seals, they don't have to be anything special. Can get assorted boxes on ebay or at Hydraulic specialists.

Cheers big ears its gotta be worth a look because it seems to me the price of bottle jacks have doubled since i bought mine , but maybe i just told the mrs it was cheap

What is the rating if the std cruiser bottle jack Shayne, these are cheap second hand?
Do you need the extra load capacity?

Nowhere near tall enough Ben i never measured but i think the chassis on my truck is about 18 inches off the ground .

Some do have o rings but there are plenty about with cup seals.

Ah just measured chassis to floor 21 and a half inches .

Here is a sprinter one I dismantled the other week looking for nesting tubes, cup type seals like Frank said. If these are the right size I can send them.

Cheers i will take a look at the weekend , i got that sprinter jack on watching , i figure at that price its worth a look even if it fits only one of my 3 trucks

I thought the standard bottle jack was intended for use under the axles and not the chassis?

Obviously bigger tyres will raise the axle up a bit but I would have thought the standard bottle jacks should cope with that extra few inches?

Yes but the high rise jack can do both and stays in the truck all the time which is handy if you need to get a cv out or something .

Under the chassis on the 120 and 90, according to the handbooks.
