Hi All,

Newbie to the forum here and hitting the ground running with a question:

When reversing I get a clicking from the front axle, I have stripped the hubs and all "seems" well, not had the diff out but have checked the diff lock operation and it seems to come off fine......

What do you think the chances are that the drive flange has failed in one direction only or any other thoughts?

Thanks

clicking from the front end is often caused by wear in the CV joints. Does it do it more if you put it into low range? Failed drive flanges usually make a higher frequency noise than would be described as clicking, like something jammed in the spokes of a bicycle wheel.

Cheers Jon, Im currently stripped down (new rad and building a winch bumper etc) when it moves again Ill double check.

CV(s) would be my first thought with a clicking, particularly if it varied at different angles of steer.
