Condenser and radiator...

On both rads, are they copper or aluminium cored? I think mine is copper but I would need to check.

New one is aluminium old one is a crisp packet which I think is copper lol

Does anyone know or have an opinion as to which it is better to have, the brass top/bottom or the plastic/alloy radiator. I've a brass one at the radiator co at the mo but its dearer to re core with a copper core than a replacement plastic/ally version bought outright.

I would personally say copper over Ally every time Andy. Salt plus Ally equals white powder!

The gasket leaked on both mine Andy between the plastic tank and the core. I've had brass header tanks before soldered to the core but these eventually developed metal fatigue cracks due to constant cycles of expanding and contracting.

Fitted the new radiator today went reasonably well, thought it was hot enough before on full heat..you could grow tomatoes its that hot now phew cool also operating very well...
