Converting an 80 tow bar to the American receiver type

When I wanted to convert my 80’s tow bar to the American 2 inch receiver type I found it difficult to find pictures of an already modified one. I knew exactly what I wanted but I had to tell my fabricator that too and it would have been so much easier if I had some photos.

A picture is worth a thousand words so here are some photos of my modified tow bar with a 2 inch receiver tube inserted into it that might be helpful to anyone thinking of doing it….

Nice conversion!

One advantage with the ARB rear bumper was is comes with a 2" receiver.
