Coolant - how often?

Changed it last year (2001 4.2 TDA Amazon) and, other than a drive to Syria and Jordan, not done much. Is this an annual thing?

I have changed mine once (2 years ago) out of the entire life of the cruiser, which is now 15 years old, and has 150,000 miles.

I think it is recommend to change it every 5 years or so? Toyota's Red coolant is good stuff, last long!
