Hi, Is it possible to copy T4A from a sd card onto your computer, so I can view it & then organise tracks, ready to be sent back to a Garmin 276.

Re: Copt Tracks for Africa

I'm sure it is, I have 9.10.5 installed in Mapsource on my Desktop.

Have you looked at the files on the card with a card reader on a computer?

Re: Copt Tracks for Africa

Yes. T44 will copy into mapsource easy peasy

I have been trying to view maps in Mapsource, when I try to copy maps from my Nuvi E drive it keeps saying on screen 'Tracks 4 Africa can not be copied as 10.01.01 file missing' Have I a bad SD disc or am I doing it wrong.

Look on the SD card with a card reader, there maybe a guide on how to install the maps to Mapsource

or following this and see how you get on.

Install T4A GPS Maps to your PC

1. On the SD card there are install files for your PC. Insert the SD card into
an SD card reader. Some GPS units, digital cameras and mobile phones
can be used as SD Card readers when connected to your PC. The best
option would be to use a dedicated SD card reader if your PC does not
already have one.

2. Use Windows Explorer to browse the contents of the SD card, look in the
folder called “PC”. Double click on /PC/tracks4africa.exe. This will launch
an application that will take you through the installation steps.

3. The main menu will appear. Click on Install T4A GPS Maps 9.10.

4. You are now at the Install T4A GPS maps menu, click on Install T4A GPS
Maps or Install T4A GPS Maps (Legacy) depending on the type of
GPS you have. We recommend Legacy for 276, 76, 60 and eTrex users.

5. Follow the instructions on the install wizard, then Exit.

I have followed the post & there is no file for installing software to a PC, I am wondering if I have done something wrong whilst I was playing with it when I was away, or is something you can only load to one PC then locks out, which I may have done accidentaly & if so can I buy a second licence from T4A.

Problem solved, I have been sold a counterfeit copy in RSA :naughty: , just purchased a download from T4A & works perfectly..
