CV Joints

i quite like looking at it mate on the kitchen side. they are a work of art :)

Mine have been clicking on full lock from 120k to 160k especially on dry surface with CDL engaged. Having driven front wheel drive minis in the 60's with similar symptoms for miles it does'nt scare me. With clicking toyo originals showing on full lock only I would think they would have a lot more life yet. BTW clicking joints were MOT failure back in the day possibly by over zealous testers who needed more work.

I used terain taimer greasable CV's, they only make them for the erlyer model 80's with the slightly shorter shaft, but if you have part time hubs they will fit the later 80's as well

I fitted SKF a while ago, still early to tell, but I drive my 80 hard, running 35s, I did a couple of days offroading with them and so far so good. To me it is the most reliable aftermarkeg CV, I think terrain tamer also should be good quality, they often supply OEM parts.
