I was thinking on how a dog might take to name change and enro being an anagram of nero offers the same two syllables and have the puppy quickly recognizing it .
Current Collie was a rescue and god knows what he had been through in his 5 short months life before we got him ....
The rescue centre had a system where they "themed" all their intakes of dogs names and for whatever reason he was called "Roddy" , sounds nothing like Merlin but he took about 48 hrs to suss his new name .... it's interesting because he will respond to several other nicknames if called by myself or wife and ignore anyone else calling him the same ....in the current climate of dog thefts can't help thinking that's a good thing ....
