Engine Code Clarification !

I would be grateful if someone could clarify the engine codes for a diesel 95
Mine is a 2001 3.0 d4d engine no 1kd083etc

I need clarification of this as I had a clutch fitted which squeaked in less than 500 miles and is now slipping in less than 4000 !!'

The part number of the clutch fitted when googled relates to a clutch for a 01-05 2.5 d4d hilux

However when I put my reg into eurocarparts and searched for a clutch and in defence of the garage that fitted it - the same part number came up

I then checked the specifics and it is for engine code 1KZ-TE which as far as I am aware is the earlier engine

That was a great help - I cross checked the numbers the release bearing and disk are common but the cover plates are different
I would presume with stronger springs to cope with the extra torque on the 1kd

Update - I just checked on my quote from toyota - infact the only common part is the release bearing !
