Engine light on ignition

Hi guys extremely new to all of this ahah, just a quick question to anyone that has a 105 standard around 2006 model cruiser, does your engine light ever appear when you just have your ignition lghts on before starting up? I've just bought the vehicle and it also has the srs air bag light on as well.. anyone know of something to try to clear the light before I take it to the shop? Not sure if these are stupid questions or not but if someone could answer that would be great.

Jono if youre refering to when you turn key on but don't start yes they do come on, srs will do kind of a system check and should go off after a few seconds, engine light, you have me thinking now but I think goes off too. I will check mine tomorrow to be sure on this. I do know that if they come on after motor started then you may have a problem.

If the lights are going off after you start up then you don't have anything to worry about
