Fit 3F engine to 2F FJ45 ,is it just a straight boltup?

Smiley good to see some of the 45's still cooking.
The swap should be as simple as pulling one donk out and fitting up the other.
The only problems you will have is with the g/box if you wish to use the 5 speed.

Hi Nekros,

Thank you for your advice.You don't see any difference with the 2F and the 3F? I have the 1984 model FJ45 I found under a tree so it has the crossmember to fit a 5 speed if I decide to go that way .
I also have a BJ42 that I have fitted a late model diesel and H55F 5 speed to it and it is a marvellous upgrade .
